West Garden Grove Youth Baseball

Vision Statement

West Garden Grove Youth Baseball (WGGYB) promotes the idea of growth in baseball skills at all levels, good sportsmanship, honesty, respect, loyalty, and a sense of teamwork through a positive competitive environment so our youth may become strong, well-adjusted members of the community.

Based in Garden Grove, California, WGGYB is an all-volunteer organization that offers both Fall and Spring baseball programs to boys and girls ages 4-14.  We serve Garden Grove and all of Orange County.  WGGYB is a member of Protect Our Nation's Youth (PONY) Baseball and plays by PONY rules.  The difference between the PONY brand of baseball and Little League is that PONY more closely resembles Major League Baseball (MLB) play.  PONY plays by MLB rules allowing both lead-offs and stealing starting at age 9 and field dimensions are more appropriately sized.  Spring season begins late February until early June while Fall season begins mid-September until late November.

2014 marked an inaugural year for WGGYB league.  Although the league name has changed, the tight-knit community remains the same and will continue to keep an honored community tradition of hosting an opening day parade which will be held on February 21, 2015.
